Acyl-protein thioesterase 2, also known LYPLA2, is lysophospholipase that acts on biological membranes to regulate the multifunctional lysophospholipids. This protein may hydrolyze fatty acids from Sacylated cysteine residues in proteins such as trimeric G alpha proteins or HRAS.
